Partnership in Spain
One of our clients, part of a strong international logistics group and operating a modern cold store with latest technology equipment in one of the major ports in Spain and providing integral solutions in cold-storage logistics, is interested in a partnership.
The group counts with the support of almost 100 companies and over 1.000 professionals in the logistic sector. Already in its fifth generation, the group supports the client in numerous activities: transport and distribution, consignments, customs agency, inspections, storage, container and bulk terminals, among others.
The port has a large hinterland and its privileged location makes it the first and last port of call for several major shipping lines.
The cold store is ideally situated in this port next to the Container Terminal and opposite the Border Inspection Post (P.I.F.). Due to this privileged location, the cold store is handling all types of food and agricultural products at different temperature ranges, resulting in very fast sanitary inspections while maintaining the cold chain at all times.
Client’s storage capacity exceeds 50.000m3, counts a handling plant as well as office space at the disposal of its clients. The 15.000 tons of frozen and chilled produce are stored in 6 chambers.
The strategic partnership, demonstrated by a limited (financial) participation of an equally strong port related temperature controlled logistics service provider, should strengthen client’s market position at the long term.
